The power to Stop

I think the most powerful point in our stories are when we choose to stop.  In this moment of inactivity, we are doing the most important thing we can for our stories.  We are creating space.  To be still.  To reflect.  To let God move.

Where am I?  Where have I been?  And most importantly, where am I going?

I will turn 32 in a month.  My mother passed away when she was 49.  If history repeats itself, I have 17 years left.  This makes me really reflect the path that my story is taking me.  It’s made me stop.

At any point in our lives, we have this choice.  To continue in our story or a choice to stop & turn our story in another direction.  That decision will make all the difference in how your story is going to end.  For some, this moment does not happen until they are on their death beds.  Full of regrets.  Full of what ifs.  And it’s too late.  What would their stories have looked like if they had the courage to pause sooner?

When you look back on your life, what do you want your story to be?  Do you feel like the choices of today are the right ones for your story to be lived out?  Do you have the right characters surrounding you to help this story be played out?

And most importantly…are your ultimate goals reflecting God’s heart & giving your best to Him?
